The female guide, shown above, told us that one man can have seven to eight
wives; as long as he has enough cows, and is able build a house for each
wife. The woman is mistress of her house, but only has one husband
per lifetime. Marriages are arranged by the parents. At death the
deceased's body is place in the Serangeti for the lions to eat, so the
lions won't come to the village to devour the people.
Warriors can't get married until they have given 10 years service to the
tribe; which makes them around 25 years old.
Normally the tribe will move around every three years in order to be on
new lands.
