Zihuatanejo offered some very interesting places to see, a great cross section of what could be seen in many of these Mexican settlements along the Pacific coast.
From the quiet village known for its fishing and sun worshipping to a far more modern place where people could bake in the sun at a flashy modern hotel.
The quaint and the modern locked away within easy driving distance from one another at the lovely and opulant resort.  Ixtapa offered the luxury, while Zihuatanejo's village on the ocean offered tropic beaches.  Really a land of contrasts.
