For whatever reason we decided not to take a tour of this town, but merely walk around the port area. The Indian population was catering to the tourist population which came here on a continuous basis. They had a shopping area put up just for our sake. Guatemala seemed like a very interesting place, and, perhaps, we should have taken one of the tours offered by the Ryndam. Alas, and forsake, ahoy, we didn't. Maybe it was "politically" safer for USA citizens, considering terrorist world wide. |
